It started when he offered to “fix” our Wi-Fi one night on my phone. The next morning, my d2jsp.org account—normally just for trading items in Diablo II—was full of wild conspiracy threads under my name. Stuff about who runs the world...
Then I checked Reddit. My feed was now a wall of unhinged posts: blurry UFO photos, charts connecting squirrels to world leaders, and a 1,200-word rant about how soup is “a government plot to sell more spoons.” My old classmates were commenting, asking if I was okay.
When I confronted Craig, he just smirked. “Relax, kid. I’m just educating the masses.”
Over the next week, it got worse. My Facebook bio was changed to Truth Hunter. Free thinker. Wake up, sheeple. My d2jsp reputation tanked because Dave used my account to “warn” about who runs the world...
Finally, I locked him out, reset all my passwords, and turned on every security feature possible. Craig acted offended, but that night I caught him on his phone, laughing to himself.
“Don’t worry,” he said. “New account, new name. Nobody will know it’s me.”
