A few thoughts of mine which might go through as hot takes or stupidity even in some peoples eyes. Since I wanna have an open discussion, I dont wanna explain my takes too much in this opening text, but if you wanna pin me down or ask me about the path that led to this conclusion for me, feel free to do so.

Here we go:

I think that humanlike consciousness can - at some point - occur in computer programms, because I think consciousness is nothing but a complex result of processes. I do also not think that human consciousness has a special ingredient that machines would be missing and therefor cant replicate.

It basically is. We are just way more advanced version of it.

We probably wont be ready, because as you said it will happen. We wont make it, it will happen and we might not realize it.

I agree. And we might overlook it when it happens to happen with non-human intelligence.

Everywhere you look men are being replaced by robots. Let’s not make this a prejudice thing against robots. One can certainly be taken to robone town.
