Hello community, long time lurker here. I cant seem to find any insight to the best way to transition from F2P to bonds. I have a newer OSRS account that I have been playing for several weeks and I'd like to take the jump to the membership side. It is safe for me to trade fg for gold to buy a bond?

Yes trade fg for osrs gold and get a bond that way so you don't have to spend irl money.

Most gold sellers are pretty trusted and with the small amount you are buying there should be no issues for you.

Its safe to buy gold for FG but follow these rules
- DO NOT mention JSP in runescape
- Vid all trades
- Keep chat logs until trade is completed and payment is finished.

If you follow those guidelines, you shouldnt get scammed, and if you do, you have evidence to show the moderators.
People with large amounts of FG or have trusted/mediator trading status have the most to lose by scamming you, so odds are they wont do it.

Thank you for your help both of you. I understand the risks on both sides, I just wanted to make sure I'm ABLE to do it this way. JSP community has always been a great place, albeit a few bad apples here and there.

keep in mind, trading like this is against jagex rules. so you always take the risk of your account getting banned for RWT.
for small amounts you will be fine. as long as your account is not fresh off tutorial island and you end up trading someone who sells bills consistantly youll be safe
