- osrs question - now i know this is broad, but here goes:
if i pray pot protect and 10 percent str boost
to 99 slay from 80 , will i be - gp or small gain?
i have mid 80s in all combat stats,
i will be skipping dragons bosses and
clues, and i will be extending nechs and gargs when ii get a chance
i realise theres a lotta variables thats why im only looking for ballpark gp answers. i know always canon will - me gp.
id just so rather 1 trip tasks with ppots
then 3/4 trip with JUST FOOD. and
i rly dont wanna guthabs cuz i also want decently
quick combat exp utilizing my slayer helm.

Can learn to 1 tick prayer flick and you won’t need prayer pots at all

high chance of break even/ slight loss.

though if u focus on the more profitable tasks u can kind sway that a bit into profits
but no slayer wont make u rich by just training it now a days.

What I did was I rarely skipped tasks. Some tasks are shit like mutated zygomites, but they are quick and easy points. So do them. Do most tasks. Cannon and burst what you can. Can't remember what I have blocked atm, but if you really wanna know I can check and let you know later.

Dragons are good to do. whether they be blue, red, iron or steel. they're good for free dragon bones and hides.

Pray on tasks that make sense. Gargs, no. just do regular melee and bring guthans to heal, for less banking. food sucks. bloodvelds? yes. kill them in cata and easy task.

As long as you do slayer, you'll profit. lower levels make less money, but the more you do it and the higher stats you get, the more profit you'll make. that's how ive made pretty much all of my money. bank value of 700m+. only some solo bossing and no raids done.

Said it well. I'd add: Don't focus on money or saving money in game. Play. Enjoy. I LOVE slayer but I tried to play the way it sounds like you are and you truly end up losing more in the end.

DO NOT buy and sell gear. I made a 20 year mistake doing this. You lose way more then you save.

Going for 99 slayer myself. I pay whatever it takes to get it done as fast as possible. That means I always use prayer, always use barrage where I can, use a scythe where I can, use a cannon where I can.

If no prayer = 300 hour grind then using prayer will save you like 60+ hrs.

do everything you can to get to 95 slayer as soon as possible
you wont make much money doing slayer before hydra.

even if you lose 50m going for 95 slayer in materials. hydra can make that back in no time at all.
