Is boosting slayer before assigned a task a bad idea, Can I kill the monsters that I'd be assigned above my level without continual boosting?
Don't want to mess up my streak

What would be the benefit if you arent trying to get a monster above your current level?

don't think it works like that, you can only boost to kill mobs you also dont need to be on a task to kill.
Like abby demons you could kill at 83 boosted but you won't be assigned them a task until 85 without boosts

Yah I'd be screwed if I boosted to get the task I have to continually boost

I think what he meant was you cannot boost to get a task you normally couldn't get. You can only boost just so you can get the few kills in of whatever until you have to boost again to keep killing. So you can't/won't mess up a task.

I typically will get a hellhound task and do cerb a few levels early on an ironman. That's the only one that you can really do that way.

Can't boost to get a task.

Imagine boosting on an iron with no skips left and running out of boosts.

Ur locked out of slayer until you get that pie, and jagex wouldn't let that happen.
