it's installed on my HDD. my PC has always made this weird noise at very specific times. i've never seen anything like it.
When I first got this PC, and I started playing Borderlands 3, I noticed say when i had the game paused and the menu open, something in my PC would make this slight high pitched buzzing noise, but only when I was hovering over an option. If I moved my cursor from 1 option to another, there would be a very brief pause then come back, as soon as the cursor landed on the next option. if I moved it away to something else, the noise would just be gone.
However this time, it will just do it constantly while I have 2 runelite windows open/logged in, but only 2. it's also never made that noise while playing runescape ever before. I can't quite tell what inside is making the noise. too hard to tell. I've never really had any performance issues in the past, either. I can play Doom Eternal just fine while it looks fantastic and runs super smooth (aside from BFG blasts lol)
You got two sticks of RAM 16gb, or did Best Buy do something scummpy like only give you 1 stick of 8gb?
I seen that in store before pre made on display with a single stick of ram.
Maybe an update or something pushed you os and games over the amount of ram you got and its reading what it can't store off the hdd
Look up how much memory is being used with both games running, and probably a browser or whatever running too.
You should be able to tell if a stick of ram died there if you got 2
If not try installing runelite on your ssd see if it makes the noise there.
