Hello I will be trying my first attempt at the fight caves! So far this is the gear I have been thinking about bringing ( I am relatively new and not very rich)

-Full Void Knight Robes/Gloves
-Crystal Bow
-Granite Ring
-Dragon boots(or Snakeskin?)
-Amulet of Glory

My inventory will consist of mainly of Full Restores/Sara Brews, and 2-3 bastion potions

I also have a Dragon Crossbow, but I had just gotten the Crystal Bow and wanted to try it out. I've read that some people bring 2 Crystal bows, but I'm pretty low on cash.

Does this seem possible with this setup? My combat stats for the event are 79 Range, 71 Defense, 70 Prayer and 78 Hit Points
Thanks for the tips!

Crystal bow is the 2000s strategy. You’re better off with a blowpipe and addy darts or greater. It’s not too expensive.

I could probably afford one of those, but it would be my life savings LOL. Do you think 1 crystal bow would do the trick however? For all rounds and also Jad at 79 range?

Don’t use a crystal bow lol, they suck and haven’t been useful here in years. Alternative is dragon cbow with ruby/diamond bolts but blowpipe is your best bet.

If you need a blowpipe I’ll lend you one they’re only a few million.

Blowpipe will help get you through the caves faster.
Rune crossbow and a God book or shield will suffice with broad bolts. It will take a bit of time (2 hours) but you'll get there.
You're biggest issue will be mage+range waves and positioning properly.
I believe the wiki has a whole guide on appropriate rotations and can tell you where each will spawn, allowing you to set up for the next wave.
As a 1st timer I would only bring 1 bastion potion since you'll need lots of food/prayer.
You can bastion for waves 31+ up until you get mages+rangers. You'll most likely need to brew to stay safe and healthy, but if you're fighting both a ranger and mager be sure to protect mage and kill the ranger first. Then swap on to the mage.
I would watch a few Jad videos to understand his sounds and attacks. 1 missed prayer will most likely kill you and that's where most people fail as a first timer.

What is your budget? Tankier gear may serve you better.

9 brews, 1 bastion, 18 super restores would be my suggested inventory.

might look at getting a karil's xbow - think that's what I used to get my first jad kill, I tried blowpipe but it felt a little harder because of the range difference or something if I remember right. Think my main problem was not panicking on the prayer switch though mostly lol

Ty for the tips and the help! I am hoping to spend less than 2 mil on this endeavor, but I could potentially afford a blowpipe if I sold my Crossbow. I am thinking I will put down the crystal bow and might give a go with full void, dragon crossbow, a god rune kite(found one during a treasure trail) dragon boots and a granite ring. I'll try using the broads and carry around diamond bolts If it doesn't go well, i'll invest in a Blowpipe.

Are there any upgrades that could be bought for around that price that would make a big difference?

If money is tight; you're better off investing it in supplies (aka more brews/restores since you may fail). A blowpipe will make you be able to do it FASTER not better.

Focusing on spawns, proper prayers, and Jad's attacks is what will get you the cape.

Do you think I use Black Dhide+Neitznot for more def and prayer, or full void range?

It would be better than void for defensive bonus I believe
