Wouldn't worry about it too much, just make sure you both don't have a new level 3 account and don't transfer too big amounts of RSG in one trade. Also throw in some junk in the trade screen so you you aren't just "giving gold".

what about phats and other rares

I use Phats all the time, it gives you some sort of alibi although I doubt if Jagex will believe you ^^
