Hello everyone!

It has been about a month since I started playing GIM with 2 of my IRL friends

You could say it's my first time actually playing the game and experiencing what OSRS has to offer

Anyways, I've never really done slayer other than the 55 slayer grind I did for my obby mauler a long time ago

Was hoping people could recommend what perks I should unlock first, as well as what monsters/tasks I should block

PS: Currently assigned Hellhounds for my 50th task by Konar. Not sure if I should block it or keep it and try for hard clues

clues are definitely good to do, if you can do them though. i feel like they require a lot of quests. but im not much of an ironman though so normal tasks i would skip would probably be good for you. sorry i can't help more.

Smallexplamp has a lot of really awesome videos on his YT about tasks to skip/extend. I'd recommend when you get a task, see if he has a youtube video on that specific monster and see if he says to skip or not.
As far as perks to unlock, I'd recommend Bigger & Badder as your first unlock. It's what unlocks superior slayer monsters. From there, I'd honestly recommend just saving up points for skips/blocks. Up until you can get gargoyle smasher, aswell as extend certain tasks that give you gg exp.

Slayer is an incredibly fun skill, and as an ironman, there's a lot of bonuses from grinding it out. Enjoy it man!

Just remember slayer helmet is sort of a scam since its really only used for banshees/dust devils/abby spectres

don't skip hhs. I know they dont drop anything besides clues or a smouldering stone (lol I got one... 1:32k drop) but they are easy to cannon in the cave by nieve/steve and u just run out to bank for more food if you dont get a clue in time.

worst tasks are:

Abyssal Demons
Hellhounds
Cave Krakens
Greater Demons
Gargoyles
Wyrms
Drakes
Black Demons

block after you get the drops you need ofc

Also, when you say Bigger & Badder, which monster are you talking about? Unless Bigger & Badder unlocks superior for all monsters



What do you mean slayer helmet is a scam? Isn't is always BIS on slayer task?



What makes them bad? I understand Hellhounds since their only drop is literally ashes but the rest seem to have alchables. I was under the impression gargoyles are a good afk task for money

It's just an unlock called Bigger and Badder. It's not for a specific monster.

Gives a chance of slayer only monsters to spawn a superior version with increased drops and exp.
