Their piling up for me, and I don't want to really unlock anything unless it gets me more xp, like to keep my bogus tasks as afk as possible.

Keep the points if you have nothing to use them for.
Once you want certain tasks etc you will have to block/skip tasks that bring low exp etc.
At that point 5k points may not even be enough

But hey do what you want. If you need a little spare cash sure buy a rune pouch and sell

save them for later so you can skip for boss tasks
