Was wondering if it is better to start off as member or play free for awhile and then eventually switch to member and if so when should I switch to member?

efficiency wise, start off as members and get quests out the way...skips over the early lvling process quickly. A Bgloves rush always nice start :)

otherwise grind f2p till you can get a bond imo

If you got fgs and money. Definitely members. Not even a question there. If you lookin to learn basics and enjoy just start slow. Theres efficient routes n stuff sure. F2p aint bad tho. Derpin around and learnin some of the world n quests and basics. Do whatever your wallet can handle tho and have fun!

Thank you so much for your opinions darlings  <3 I appreciate it! I am on the fence on starting because I don't really know what to do or work for in the game. I use to play in 2009 but havent since so I assume I would be considered brand new because of all the changes. Of course I will take your offer as well <3 I think I will play through the f2p quests and then go members if it holds my interests.

So free to play most likely have less than 5% of runescape total content.
So jumping straight into membership can be abit to much.

I think starting as f2p will keep it nostalgic for you aswell as you used to play back then.

I started F2P a year ago, after a few weeks I went to members world.
At the start the quests and what quests I should do first was overwhelming, there was a good guide somewhere but I forgot it.

If I would do it again Id members up for fast training, f2p is just full of nothingness, the wilderness is empty space with no reason to go out in.
you're training at hill giants, map is small. you can buy pin memberships for cheap online 16 day to 265 day like three bucks to thirty some bucks.
