If you played before, you might enjoy the nostalgia of old school graphics and early gameplay
If you like higher quality graphics and different combat skills, RS3 might hit it off better
Either way, members offers a lot on both, and you can get members with bonds in game - purchasable with gold, which you can buy with fg

This is very good advice :)

If you have played as a kid, OSRS might hit the spot and keep you into the game just on nostalgia alone.
If you haven't played and you're just getting into it, OSRS might turn you off as it's much slower paced, lower graphics (not that rs3 is really great anyways lol)

I prefer Rs3, because it's a lot easier to feel like you're progressing if you don't have tons of time to sink in.. it can also be a lot more afk.

In my opinion, it's worth trying each of them out for a week or two to see what you enjoy more!

As weird as it sounds I was advised RS3 was dead content, and not as many people play because of that.
So I never dabbled in it, I don't like the graphics of it either something about the art is just way off to me.

Thanks for the posts everyone. I dont have much nostalgia for OSRS but I remember it being popular when I was smaller.

I do really like the vibe of OSRS and RS3 seems pretty cool to me so I think Im just going to play both.

I like the old school style and the music on OSRS

As long as you enjoy it that's all that matters! Recently got back into Rs3 myself as Osrs just couldn't hold my attention anymore and enjoying it. So much content

At least until d2r comes out then RS will be collecting dust for me for a bit
