This vote is to determine if we should implant Entry fee's to join the Skilling Competition.
Right now the competition is funded by donations, and that limit the rewards quite alot because if we do higher rewards than we already do we run out of Donation's quicker.
So by implanting an entry fee for each week we can continue to have rewards and even bigger than before.

The plan is the Entry fee is what most votes for: 10 or 20 or 30FG weekly.

If the final vote ends on 20FG and 20 players join in. Then the reward that week would be 20x20 = 400FG. (Compared to now were the reward is 150FG)
First place would win 60% secound place 25% and third place would be the remaining 15%.
That would get first place 240FG
Secound place 100FG
Third place 60fg.

As of right now it's 70, 50 and 30FG.

I think having an entry fee is good. Will incentivize people who join to put in more time.

I voted 20

Agreed about entry fee.

Any fg entree is good.

I did 10 because it isn’t much of a loss if you don’t win but still a good chuck for those winners.

i think forcing an entry fee will make the few remaining in the comp drop out and just end it completely.

A lot of the concerns we were hearing when we asked the community on how to make the skill comp more popular and to get people to participate more was to have higher payouts.

The skill comp as it sits, gets barely any donations and has gone several weeks in the past with 0 funds. So the solution we came up with was to have a entry fee.

Of course, this is only an idea and will not be passed unless the community votes for it.

If you have any ideas on how to get more funds for the skill comp winnings, feels free to share them.

Thanks,

For those who voted No Fee or mabye 10FG Fee.
If the skill comp lands on 30FG Fee, will you still participate or would that be too much to be interesting?

If you wish to be annoyomous please DM me the answer
Or just post it here if you like to share it with everyone.
The goal of this is still to get the most amount of players to participate so we can get a real competition started like the good old days :)

Maybe for those who voted no, use the remaining donated funds to cover ( Since the buy in will cover the winnings )

If a user doesn't have the forum gold to pay the buy in, if they win perhaps just deduct that from their winnings and return it to the donated funds?

Edit : If they win the funds would be replaced

If they don't place, the funds shouldn't drain too quickly as it'd be 10-30 Fg per user that can't cover fees.

Thank you for the idea but i don't see it working.
Because if 1 don't have to pay why should the rest then?
I see your idea but i think it will backfire.
Also if 12 are in but lets say only 9 pay, then i can only pay out 9x fee. Even by the winner would have won 12x fee.
