So I just came back after an 18 month break.

I don't do much bossing right now, but I hope to in the future (learning cox again, gwd, etc)

For the first time out of 6 times I quit, I didn't give away/sell my cash stack and I kept it so I bought all my gear again.


My question is, should I sell my Dragon Hunter Lance to fund other gear upgrades, or keep it even though I don't boss and just use it for dragon/wyrm/garg tasks etc?

I'm currently rocking Ahrims for Magic, and Karils/Blessed for Ranged.

I have a Lance, but I'm considering selling it and just buying/using a normal hasta and putting the extra money from selling the Lance (Would be around ~60-65M cash stack after buying Hasta and selling my current slayer tab) towards better range/magic gear like Ancestral/Kodai or Pegs/Armadyl etc.

My melee gear is fine (bandos/avernic/prims/fero/torture/etc etc) so I'm not worried there.

only real upgrade to dps you mentioned is the mage gear. the rest are small tweaks for min maxing. the ancestral and kodai are pretty big for slayer if you intend to do a lot of burst/barraging. dragons are never really an efficient slayer task anyway, so usually i skip them unless its a black dragon task. and I am curious why you use lance on gargs? they are slightly weaker to crush, but the lance itself is weaker on crush. dps will be better with a whip than the lance there.
Arma is great, but its mainly for the mage def, wich isnt too big of a deal in casual slayer. its more important in end game bossing. Pegs really arent much of an increase from god d hide boots. at least not half of ur cash stack worth.
Personally id keep the lance for now if you like doing dragons.

1. I always use crush weps on gargs usually, and I don't have a bludgeon, so I was just using it on crush lol.

2. I don't "like" doing dragon tasks per se, but I just do them cause they're easy and I don't care about efficient or not

What about putting towards Rapier or something of the like? or is that mainly for endgame bossing too?

I'm maxed melee 96 range/98 magic atm, so I've got the stats for everything, just haven't done any of them since coming back.

rapier isnt worth you saving for if your goal is just slayer. more creatures are weak to slash in general anyway. Id say just rock god d hides with bp, d hide boots, and anguish for range, bandos with whip, avernic, prims, and tort for melee, and more barraging will be done in prayer gear if you dont have ancestral.

when saving up, buy things like tormented bracelet for mage. focus on things that directly support dps, not accuracy.
