I recently started playing again since league came out, and I am a bit rusty on my knowledge. I unlocked Kandarin and can almost unlock my next region. Thinking about the one with Falador for mining guild. Not sure how to make money though. Any ideas? I could tree spirits and axes, but that’s all I can think of.

Most people high alch rune item drops

For 100k or so I went to nature spirits after completing imp catcher
Fire striked them until rune axe (got lucky, 7 kc) BUT even low alching their axe drops is profit since they drop so many nature runes.

Rune axe, head over to maples. I got 600 of em, then picked 600 flax with recall + the kandarin home tele.
Spun the flax in lumby, got from 9-47ish crafting.
Fletch the logs/string em.
I sold them to the shilo general store 10 @ a time (optimal may be a bit less than that sold per world) and came out with ~120k which set me up with Dragon Dagger/Scimitar.
