When learning, 3 egniol potions and 20+ fish recommended.
The gauntlet is ridiculously hard/near impossible without using the counter, unless you're severly autistic. so use it.

Those who are not confident in keeping up with prayer switching or the 5:1 rhythm should bring more food.

Casual Prep Guide
● Total shards required: 320
● Collect the following supplies whenever you come across them while gathering other resources:
→ 3x Crystal Ore
→ 3x Phren Bark
→ 3x Linum Tirinium
→ 2x Grym Leaf
1) Kill low level enemies in the first room for 1x Weapon Frame + 100 Crystal Shards.
2) Return to the prep room and make a Tier 2 Bow (80 shards) and 2x Vial (20 Shards).
3) Gather a sufficient amount of fish.
4) Make a lap around the outer edge of the arena to find a Dark Beast or a Bear (whichever comes first) for the Tier 3 Bow/Halberd upgrade. Be sure to pick up the second Weapon Frame as well.
5) Use the Teleport Crystal to return back to the prep room.
6) Cook your paddlefish, make your armor (120 shards), make your second weapon (80 shards) and grind 20 shards to make 2x Egniol Potion.

Speedrun Prep Guide
● Total shards required: 320 if making armour, 200 if not
The process is largely identical to the casual prep guide, but you try to save ticks along the way by employing the following methods:
● Check the Hunllef's overhead as soon as soon as you enter the Gauntlet. If it is using Protect from Missiles, leave and restart (only if doing the 5:1 method)
● Pre-venging and conserving it for the Hunllef fight (the Hunllef will always attack with ranged first)
● Luring monsters towards the next room that you intend to go to while killing them
● Filling your vials while fishing:

Hunllef - Basic Mechanics
● The Hunllef will keep the same overhead up for 6 attacks from the player, it will then change its overhead to match whatever style the player uses on the 6th attack.
● The Hunllef will always begin by attacking with range then alternate between mage/range every 4 attacks. This does include the 2 special attacks (prayer disabling attack and tornados) but does not include the stomp attack performed when the player is underneath the Hunllef. You should avoid standing underneath the Hunllef at all costs. The Hunllef is a 5 tick boss meaning that it will switch styles every 12 seconds. Therefore using a 12 second interval timer such as this one can help by alleviating the need to count the Hunllef's attacks
https://gauntletcounter.herokuapp.com/● The Hunllef has 2 direct special attacks that it will use at random times:
→ Prayer Disabling Attack: This can only be used while the Hunllef is attacking with magic and simply turns off your prayers.
→ Tornado Attack: The Hunllef summons multiple tornados that chase the player and deal high damage if they reach the players location. These tornadoes will disappear after a brief period. They can be "woox-walked" if you are meleeing to avoid damage while maintaining maximum DPS against the boss:
https://clips.twitch.tv/SpotlessVastPuppyWow● During the fight, the floor will light up in various places. Tiles are initially highlighted in blue (red in corrupted) as a warning and soon turn orange. If the player stands on an orange tile they will continue to take high damage until they step off of the highlighted tiles.

Hunllef - 5:1 Method
The 5:1 method focuses on manipulating the Hunllef's overhead switches to allow you to maximise your time spent DPSing with your Tier 3 Bow. The player uses their Tier 3 Bow for the first 5 attacks then alternates between mage/melee on the 6th attack to ensure that the boss never uses Protect from Missiles. Here is an example:
● Hunllef begins the fight by using Protect from Melee
● The player does 5 bow attacks then 1 staff attack
● The Hunllef switches to Protect from Magic
● The player does 5 bow attacks then 1 kick
● The Hunllef switches to Protect from Melee
● Rinse and repeat
You will need a staff for this method to work as you must have access to all 3 attack styles.

Hunllef - Redemption Method
This can be used in conjunction with the 5:1 method. The goal of this method is to minimise tick loss from eating during the boss fight by using the Redemption prayer as a supplementary source of healing. You will also need 4-8 food as it is not always possible to use Redemption without risking being chanced (always eat if your HP is below 16). To actually do this method, simply pray the correct overhead when the Hunllef casts an attack then switch to Redemption while the projectile is mid-air.
