Just sharing a PSA as in Rs3 and OSRS there have been a few hacks over the past week. I have heard that upwards of 500b has been lost total


I am going to outline some safety measures that I believe everyone should follow.

NEVER use an email for your RS account(s) that is registered to other websites. The email registered to your RS account should only be for that purpose.

Set up 2FA on your email address and Discord. If you don't know how to, please take the time to Google it. Having 2FA severely impedes anyone's effort into getting your accounts.

Under NO circumstance answer any phone calls that has a number you are unfamiliar with. Two people had their account's bank pin compromised by answering the scammer's phone call.

Have some decent malware detection software so that you can safeguard yourself and your computer.

NEVER click on any Runescape related emails. Any important Runescape messages will come in your in game mailbox. These are common phishing schemes.

A common phishing technique is to make a clone of the RuneScape Web site, fooling people into entering their credentials. Always check the URL to make sure you're on the official runescape.com login page. Be wary of similar Twitch streams offering Double XP. These are always a scam.

I cannot stress enough the first two bullets. Please take the time today to ensure that your account is safe. I do not want to see more of my friends fall victim.


Especially here on jsp where you share your log in name, which is a critical piece of information.

I don't know how people are so easily compromised... Ive had my account for what... 16 years and haven't had an issue...
