I have 5-6 runescape accounts. I remember 4 of the 6 emails.

I have my old pure's name, but I don't remember the email to it.

How do I recover the account with just the username? I'm sure I know the password to the email that I made for it, just completely forget which email I created for it.

If you contact jagex support, I think they might be start a recovery process for you.

They'll ask pretty specific questions.
Creation date, credit card used to pay membership, etc.

I know one friend who tried. I didn't play at the time, so I didn't check whether he was able to recover it or not.

So, it's recognizing my name on high scores, but when I go to recover it, runescape is asking for a valid account name.

Runescape/jagex is not recognizing the account name, but the highscores is.

I'm confused

I'm only familiar with using email as username to login.

I've wondered if I could assign a username instead of my email since typing out my email takes a while.

yeahhh I only use my email to sign in for my other accounts, but since I don't know the email for this one...I can't haha

There is an option to check all accounts linked to your recovery e-mail. If you had the account made under 1 email but registered to recover under another email that's one way to do it.

Nop only way to have a username login is if your account was made pre 2011 and even then the username login doesnt change with the display name

Sucks typing in a whole email address to login.

Most clients have a feature to save your user login when you load it unless you have multiple accs
