Once upon a time...
Bronze arrows spiked to over 3m per arrow...
People ran to the archery stores and bought out all the bronze arrows...
People then attempted to sell the bronze arrows for insane profit...
That day in history was erased from Jagex's logs, and rswiki data was rolled back...
They then implemented buy/sell limits on the exchange and pretended it never happened...
There was no ingame rollback, so any profit/loss that resulted from this was permanent...
Then, Jagex wanted to restrict free trading...
And thus, junk trade became a popular form of transferring wealth between people...
People traded... junk items... which were extremely overpriced, but had no actual value...
Nobody actually wanted these items, and were willing to sell them at the minimum trade values allowed...
People who did nothing but sit at the GE all day spamming trades collected this junk, and tried to obtain its GE value...
When the trade limits were lifted, many people ended up with... tons of junk items...
The end...
Based on a true story.
The real question is... would you be one of those people trying to buy bronze arrows when they are at a ridiculous price just because that's what the price guide says?
Or would you be one of those people trying to make a profit off of the opportunity?
