I know im not crazy but I'm trying to find proof of this thing that i know is true and cannot find it anywhere.

The trident's attack accuracy is not effected by gear/magic attack bonus, right? please tell me if this is actually true or not. I KNOW it is but cannot find where it says it is, and I'm trying to convince my friend that it is true.

if someone can link me to a page that confirms this, that would be great.

Under the "Max hit" section, it describes how no matter you magic attack it won't drop below a max hit of 20?
I'm not sure if this is what you wanted, thought I'd try and help!

it absolutly is affected by it. it not a major deal on most bosses that you use it on because their mage def is trash, but your accuracy is higher with trident when wearing higher accuracy gear. I personally sacrifice the slight increase in accuracy for defensive Armour.

people wear tank armor when doing barrows and dag rex while using trident because those bosses have no magic defense, so your accuracy means nothing.

Vastly depends on what you're killing.

Barrows brothers? You could be wearing full melee gear doesn't matter.
Something with super high mage level/mage defense? Yeah mage gear is gonna be helpful.

That being said yes it's definitely effected by magic bonus.

i've used trident on a few different things, and it all seems to be about the same for me. range gear on kracken, melee gear on barrows, anything on iron/steel drags. It all feels exactly the same. what would be something with high mage def? I'd like to test it out myself and see how it does.

king black dragon would be a good one to go try with trident. he has decent mage def and and you would see more 0's with tank gear on. the number u hit on him has nothing to do with accuracy, just the amount of times you actually do damage. the amount of damage is rng, and the max hit is only affected by magic damage incease such as occult, torm brac, god cape, ancestral.
