I have never purchased gold in OSRS. Couple quick questions.

First and obviously, is this against the rules? If so what is the risk?

Second what is the process so I know what to expect?

The risk is your RuneScape account getting permanently banned.

Against Jsp rules? no. Against runescape rules? yes. It's called RWT Real World Trading. Every time you do it you risk getting banned.
