I have to click use or equipt some salvage trash before I get the option to just drop it.
Should I just be dropping unsorted salvage because that seems like it will be easier?

Just change left-click to drop on the items that you consider junk? Wired for me..

What was the whole point of enabling shift click dropping then?
I'd rather not have to change the settings back and forth every time I was to salvage for a bit, I'd forget and drop valuables on the ground.

Works for me.

shift clicking on boats works just fine. No different than anywhere else. And why would you have to keep switching settings? Change the left click option for the items you don't want or just don't do that and just shift click instead.

I think you're confused and making things harder than they need to be.

Nah those are my settings I hit shift, and instead of the drop option on a log or cannon ball or whatever I get either the USE option when I click, or if its equiptable the equip option until I click a couple of times.
On land I get the drop option as soon as shift is hit and my cursor hovers over the item.

Not sure why yours would be different and everyone else's are the same. I never had to change anything when sailing came out. There's not even a separate option from shift dropping on boats.

I think you're just doing something wrong.

Yeah looks like either live with it, or reinstall runelite, or maybe these are little things that will get more aggressive telling me to switch over to Jagex launcher and jagex account.

I don't think runelite would have anything to do with it cause it's not a runelite feature, but I guess it couldn't hurt. Just not sure why it would be happening at all. I never had issues dropping anything from salvaging.

Only time I ever have an issue like that is when I use 2 monitors (always) and say im salvaging on one and jsp'ing on the other. Sometimes I'd forget to click back on osrs before pressing shift and attempting to drop, so that first click wouldn't drop but the rest would. Maybe you're doing that?
