If RuneScape gold has increased in value from like 16 cents to 21 cents per mill over the last few months , and the value of d2jsp gold is a stable currency, why would the value of rsg: fg go down?

Seems counterintuitive doesn’t it? Why would the rates be as low as 1mill: 2000-2200fg?

Because the Value of FG is elastic, and cyclical, and goes up during ladder resets.
An expansion for g2r was released ahead of this reset, so idk if were at the bottom.
At the end of 2024 there was the release of POE2, and a ladder that coincided on both that and a good d2r winter season, which made the fg osrs gp ratio go down as well.
When d2r came out the price of gold went from in the 40's to under 20 over night.

If you have any OSRS gold for sale I will pay you 19 fg per million, otherwise this isn't the place to post this question.

Fg isn’t elastic, it has a set dollar value exchange rate because you can buy it for the same dollar value any time. Actually what this leads to is a massive opportunity to arbitrage currencies across games

The value of FG is elastic relative to in game currencies though. Sure you can buy it directly from the website at the set rates, but that doesn't prevent it from being impacted by games and their updates.

OSRS on this site isn't valued like OSRS on other sites where you can purchase it. People are looking for quick sales to put the fg to use in other games, people are looking to cash out from their BnP adventures, etc.

Further to that, the value of OSRS, long term, will only continue downwards as more gold is injected into the game.
