Hey all,

I asked about a month ago what I need to do to get a new account trade-ready (returning to the game after 20 years). I was told to rush RFD and I'm about 75% done. Also stacking FG like a fiend but that's beside the point.

Now I'm nervous about trading gold. I don't want to risk my account but more importantly I don't want to risk somebody else's.

Aiming for about 4B in-game. Is it best to do that all in one trade (I likely won't need that much anytime soon) or spread it out over time with smaller amounts?

Also curious about logistics, feel free to PM me any advice. Would also be curious to hear any stories of anyone getting banned in OSRS for JSP trades

Absolute crap shoot. People are catching RWT bans everywhere, I think Hauru caught one recently? Buddy caught on 2 accounts within 6 weeks.

Yeah I was hesitant on giving advice lol.
50/50 you get banned, they yoinked the 260m I bought from someone on here, guess he had been buying / reselling like 20b worth of GP around the time I bought from him but had no FG at that time..
They hit my main + alt with a 3 day as well as wealth removal.

I guess only advice would be to buy items, not gold. & even then, still a risk.

Don’t buy from resellers or people who split pvm drops. Not sure if people have explored getting PKed to transfer but I’d assume that might fly under the radar more

Also avoid people that post in BNP 100%
They regularly are buying / reselling to cash in/out on FG to gamble with, higher risk.

Sorry another thing, Jagex has added a lot of mid-game gear, so buying gold for max gear at lower levels doesn't make as drastic increase in damage compared to the past.
Stats are going to make a way bigger difference, I think 1 att or strength level is 2% damage increase

just a 3 day ban and they took what you got? Seems like it might be a good idea to do a smaller trade and wait until I need more

Correct, you're also not guaranteed to get a temp on your first offense, have seen people get straight permabanned.
Also from what I've heard, they only remove gold & not items. So could buy huge chunk all at once in items & hope first offense is just a temp, or buy gold and instantly convert it all into items.
My ban also happened about 2 weeks after the trade had occured.

I definitely recognize that I won't need billions for a long time. I'm in this for the long haul, jagex permitting

Mainly looking for the best approach. Seems like I need a patron who doesn't trade gold and can trickle items my way as a means of helping a friend (for FG of course) =P

Trade with someone who has never traded or long term add someone on your friends list. I would say 4b is too much but I’ve never done over 1b at a time.
