Hey friends,
so I'm trying to use the jagex launcher for the first time and it's not going so swell. When I try to use the runelite game client option on the jagex launcher, it launches runelite but it doesnt have the pres-signed in "play" box. It wants me to relog in (which obviously doesnt work since its a jagex launcher account login info).
I have tried the following:
1. Reinstalling the launcher
2. Reinstalling runelite
3. Playing on the jagex client, but im trash and making a ton of mistakes because of the different feel.


Does anyone have any troubleshooting/tips to get runelite option in the jagex client working properly?

Im signed in, I click play (with runelite as the client option). It launches runelite, but it brings me to this (which obviously doesnt work).







Edit:
I'm able to get it working on my laptop, but for some reason on my desktop no matter what I do, it continues to give me the same problem (even after trying 's suggestion + looking up some stuff, etc).

I'm guessing it has something to do with auth if it's not logging in and showing the play button
Maybe try the official jagex launcher and login to rs3 then switch to osrs/runescape launcher and see if it works?
Mine worked first try but I play rs3 on the account is my only reasoning behind that

Try this:

1) Open RuneLite (configure) and copy the settings found below. Search 'RuneLite (configure)' in file explorer.

2) Hit save then close it.
3) Open Jagex Launcher and sign into the account you want to use.
4) Launch RuneLite through Jagex Launcher with desired account.
5) Press windows key + R and type ".runelite" you should see a credentials file

once that credential file is there it should auto log you in when you load runelite.

If you need to login a regular account just delete that credential file and next time you log into launcher it will re-appear
