odds are you were victim of a data breach, you've more than likely used your username and password on a website (such as runehq) and eventually someone attempted to log into runescape with your details

48m is nothing, i'd recommend moving to a jagex account and enabling mobile auth to prevent this from ever happening again

Data breach, or you yourself clicked a link that led to your saved passwords being leaked etc. it happens. 48m thankfully isn’t much unless it was an iron man .

When jagex mods have stolen and sold bils, I can safely say they don't give a fuck about your 48m.

Jokes aside, sorry you got hacked. Check your email for recent login attempts/locations, scan your devices with proper antivirus/malware, then change passwords (no password remotely the same - consider using a password manager), add 2FA to everything.
