I have a 2277 Ironman, I understand skills are harder to achieve on Ironman in general. But we are talking about over 1-week duration. All an EHP competition encourages is Ironman to hoard materials for certain skills until it is the SOTW. Then bam they get an easy 2.2-6.2x multiplier making it easy to win.
We aren’t talking about using cannonballs for 1-99 slayer, we are talking about using cannonballs and bursting for 1 week every 10 weeks.
Also, why would we want a system that forces you to ban skills?
Conclusion: We shouldn’t ban skills and give Ironman an edge just because they decide to willingly play a game mode which doesn’t allow for them to obtain raw materials quickly. If they want to win competitions they can 1) enter with another account or 2) deiron lol

Youre not banning skills, youre banning ironmen participation in said skill.

Then they dont win any other competitions throughout those dozen weeks it took them to make the tens of thousands of cannonballs and runes in order to compete on the slayer week.
1. Mine 20k iron ore
2. Mine 40k coal ore
3. Smith 20k steel bars
4. Smith 80k cannonballs
5. Participate in GOTR to achieve 20k barrage casts OR do an activity to farm enough pure ess and then runecraft said runes OR do a money making strategy (thieving?) to buy runes from the shop.
All to compete in
one week of a weekly competition, likely with lesser gear (not full ancestral or virtus or what not) than a normie has.

Heaven forbid we allow/promote everyone being able to participate and compete here
