looking at doing some foundry, basically just want the double mould (2000) points.

currently 69 smithing and planned on doing this via mith bars purely (very low on steel bars, and don't necessarily want to grind more for cballs after)

Does anyone know ~roughly how many bars this would take, and if its even worth it at mith only?
I know most people say its not worth it to smith into items first, but should I make mith plates and use them if doing mith only?

Haven't touched foundry, hoping someone here has :lol:

I just did this and wasn't doing it fast took me like 2-3 hours but I used addy armour I had from drops and mith bars, any gear you put in is amount of bars -1 so an addy plate thrown in is = to 4 bars instead of 5

So if you smith mith plates you lose 1 bar each time, sure I guess you get exp making them first but that CAN'T be worth the extra time

Usually one type of metal isn’t worth, for example 28 addy bars has a score of 50 while 14 mith/14 addy gives you a score of 95 so basically double points

For irons usually you either:
Hoard armor/weapons from slayer/pvm and break them down in gf
Alch items above and buy armor from Prif shop with the gold(most efficient method)

Definitely would recommend getting 70 smith and making addy bars to do 14mith/14 addy if you have some addy bars to make

yeah I just hit 70 smithing, so for the future i'm gunna rock 14/14 mith/addy
seems to be general consensus of what's best

Id say most irons do this. I personally have about 10k mith/addy bars I need to burn through at GF that im trying to avoid doing so.

but it is good points, and decent GP/EXP

Its pretty chill compared to blast furnace, yuck


Just did 90-99 with the 18mith/10addy ratio.

I don’t mind it, but I already did 90-99 on my actual iron there… don’t wanna do it again on the hc lol

hit 85 smithing so far, its not bad I got it mostly figured out :santa:

Just gotta go get some more addy ore eventually if I wanna finish this to 90+, but like 70-85 was maybe 1.5k addy/mith bars at 14/14 its sick exp per bar plus the gp is nice on iron
