I have full access to my osrs account but the email linked to the account i don't. I read somewhere that I have to recovery with all the correct information and state you don't have access to the email. Well I did this but was denied.. I'm the original owner and entered all the questions correctly. Do I try to appeal or does it even matter that I don't have access to the email? Is it safe to continue on the account? I haven't played on the account since December last year, I'm not sure if I can put members on it without having the email. Any thoughts? Or should I just remake new account? It's only 1550 total level but I have 3 skilling pets and recolor on graceful.

RuneScape's recovery system is garbage. You can keep putting in recovery requests and changing minor details and you'll probably get it back eventually. Without having the email you can never change your password which is a security risk.

Try the following method: https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/206811825-Forgotten-login
Read that article and click "contact us". Fill out the information for your account and explain your issue. They generally respond to these requests a little better than automated recoveries. It can take ~3 days. Yes, it isn't specifically what that form is for, but do it anyways to actually get a human response vs. automated.

It's worth a chance to try to change the email anyways.
One of my accounts I lost access to the email, and it one day let me change without even requiring my email verification for some reason. Just sent the confirmation to the new email.
Granted it was prob 6 years inactive on the email it could have just been deleted, but my account def still had the email attached on the website.


/e also, since you have full access, you should be able to add it to a jagex account with a new email.
I can't remember if it required an email confirmation or not, but at some point it will be mandatory to use a jagex account, so at some point in time you WILL lose all progress if you can't link it for some reason.

I woke up this morning with a password reset email from jagex in new email I wanted to change. I logged onto the account with the old email and looked at the contact settings that shows my new email on there. I double checked that my new email has been changed. Tried to log on using the new email but get failed to log on. So it's still using the old email for log in but new email for contact. So I think I've accomplished what I wanted to in order to keep the account. Think it's safe to continue playing? If so I'll be posting a progress and achievement thread soon

You can never change your login email address. It will always be the same. However, your contact email address can be changed for communications. It sounds like you accomplished what you needed.

your account security is now safer because your login email is different than the registered email. This will make your account harder to hack.
