According to I think it was behemeth highlights, you are correct. By the sound of it Kurtis (MMORPG) or at least coming from his point of view said that the whole bot scene is literally on board all over due to 0 bans

The cost per mil of osrs:$ is low on the black market. Appears the fg ratio mirrors this.

Has to do with other games releasing , ladder resets etc RuneScape is a long term pass time game not really many playing hardcore 24/7

It hasn't been that high since 2019. And it was only that high because of the release of mobile in 2018. Before mobile it was like 60fg per mil. A ton of people came back for mobile and were buying gold like crazy.

I've heard it could be due to that w/e company is trying to sell jagex so they want the player count to be as inflated as possible.
