I honestly would agree with you. However, I do believe that being on the Internet all of that time has molded my views and beliefs, and made me into a person I can actually respect. I highly doubt I would see the world the way that I do today, had I not 'wasted' all of those years on this game, and therefore the internet.
It's a win-lose situation, just depends what you focus on. I'm an optometrist, so I don't feel I've 'wasted' anything. I feel moreso that I've figured out who I am, what I believe (Truly, not just some bandwagoning bullshit) at a pretty young age, which I think will be a valuable asset throughout my future years. Maybe it fucked my teens up, but I think the knowledge I've had instilled into me through rough teachers on the Internet could ultimately be an invaluable tool in my life, twenties and up.
Just depends how you look at it. I know that it's not always the best idea to start 'Life' if you're not ready though, and I can safely say I wasn't ready these last few years. I have a brother that pretty much confirms this, being the megadouche that he is. I very well may have dodged a bullet. But sure, there's the 'What if?' scenario. Fact of the matter - what's done is done, and I am who I am. I believe what I do, from seeing what I've seen. I'm grateful that I have this, I hate to use the word but honestly, enlightened view on life, and it's helped my mental state tremendously.
You guys probably don't know it, but I used to be a whiny, bitchy, straight, little ungrateful cunt. Until I met AnthonyB.
E; needs some revision, too tired so fuck it
Ish for #1 optometrist.
