Blame it on the introduction of trolling, it took everyone's maturity level down to that of a 12 year old.
I even caught myself doing it from time to time and hated myself after for being so ridiculously immature.
Plus everyone jumps on the bandwagon so one person trolling instantly turns into a combo breaker.

No Battlefloor = rampant trolling and flaming everywhere else.

Some people would do a good job putting others in check for a while, but it was a losing battle.
