Kiln. That is all. Oh wait, yes, and I hate it ...

Phase 35, I hit the crystal but for somehow Jad super ninja animates ahead of time to hit me. Normally he doesn't 1-hit me but he managed it this time, of course :P So back to the drawing board but I want the ranged cape soooo badly.

(I get the whole pray switch thing ... mage for his fireballs, ranged I think if he stands up to smash the ground? But I really don't like switching.)

I thought about using that crystal instead, esp. because it's not really needed against the melee guys that need to be hammered (which I use a dreadnip on ftw). So ty for backing the idea.

I'm supposed to watch his foot position and listen to how loud he's growling to predict which prayer to use (leg back = mage, leg slam = range), but that's pretty annoying. Except for the double jad round I may just safespot, turn, hit, and return, thus avoiding any prayer switching. But i won't be able to get by on that strategy with two jadholes at round 36 or whatever.

My other new tactic will be to bring portents of restoration in. He'll have to really KO me if he wants me to die from a 1-H.

I can do this for you if you get up to the jad waves haha ^_^
It's really easy once you get it. There's a technique to the 2x jad spawn and the movements are easy to predict when you have prayer switches on your action bar :)

I've died about 3x @ wave 35, so I haven't yet met double-jad. Or not in a lonnnnng time, I should say. I've always sucked at jad.
I wish it'd just give an option to save progress with the stipulation that the gem option is cut off.

I had a bunch of failed attempts today and then moved on to slaughter barrows for a while so I could get a few more sigils. I still need an extra mage & range defender so I can have a place holder for each. Then I can probably move on the the nex versions, eventually double-up on those unless they're saved on death, and then move onto the kk versions. I'm more interested in the defenders than the range & mage cape right meow, but I will be back at it soon enough.

btw, sort of an achievement: sold off my black santa for about 1b gp. No idea if I got a good price but I don't care to spend hours checking that sort of thing even if I realize I could be looking at a "loss". I made a ton of profit on it since I've had it since black santas came out. I just wanted to free up some gp. I'm not sure why but I've lost most of my interest in rares now.

a good idea for fight kiln is to get the obsidian armor since it decreases damage by ALOT

I looked that up yesterday and I was intrigued. I'll get it before I make my next attempt. I'm glad you mentioned it because that pretty much put me over the line in terms of that decision.

I like Zammy Warpriest for the Kiln

If you have soul split you will be healing enough to stay full Hp without obsidian, and that Warpriest can save your life if you mess up on the Jads.

Best course of action is to pop an immunity crystal right at the start of the double Jad wave, and 1) Kill one of them Asap if you have T90s or 2) Get them lured properly so you can focus on them one at a time

Also another tip is to bring a combat familiar to switch to during the Dill phase just to speed it up, you have your familiar constantly attacking one while you focus on another, as familiars bypass armor.

Just fill your inventory up as you hit that wave and you should have more than enough supplies to last til the end.

Save 2 constitution crystals for the boss as these make it a joke

I don't have zammy warpriest stuff so I'll look into it ... guessing it's non-tradeable gwd stuff. Will check it out though :)

I seem to be terrible at luring/safespotting jads so I feel like it's gonna be taking for me. I do have t90s and I can save the constitution crystals for the end ... if I ever make it there :D ty
