I would, but that requires staying in one spot the entire cave.
This isn't particularly useful because, for example..
Wave 4: 2 TokHaar-Mej, 3 TokHaar-Xil
Xil prefer to spawn Northwest, Southwest, and I believe Northeast. So I'm going to benefit a lot more if I stand in the Northwest corner and quickly kill the first Xil there, then move South to clear probably the other two Xil with magic protection on, than I would just safespotting it. Torva works 100% fine for tanking Ranged, etc.
Same could be said for waves 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28. It's knowing where to stand before things spawn to minimize damage and get maximum speed.
It's a time issue - I enjoy things really up until I have them figured out entirely, and I know the best methods. Every time I do a Kiln, I try and think of things I could do to make it faster. IE, I'm bringing Swifts now because it's practical after the DT update, and Dragon (E) bolts, which seems to be taking a few minutes off each Kiln, and is cost effective. (~200K loss VS 3-5 minutes saved @ 100K/minute)
It's a little weird sometimes, because preferred spawns aren't always followed as they should be. IE early Zeks prefer to spawn I believe southwest, but the Zek on wave 28 spawns Northwest. So I'm thinking all monsters have preferred spawn points, with a maximum of 2 spawns per corner (With the exception of 9+ monster waves) that can spawn there. And there is a list of monsters who have priority over others. IE, Dill spawns would have priority over Zek spawns, if they force the Zek to spawn northwest instead of southwest.
I don't have it figured out entirely yet, learning a little more with each Kiln. Will have a full understanding and absolute best tactics soon though, etc.
Safespots are just being a bitch really. And it slows you down. As is I use.. 6-8 brews per Kiln, which is ~250K. I know for sure waiting for everything to swarm me would add more than 2 minutes to the kiln, so it isn't cost effective.
