Why would you have to start claiming taxes on anything over 500$?
Use paypal account or something similar, then just buy things off ***/interwebz and don't show the transactions to your government. Its not like they're going to come evaluate your household and be like you only make this much but you have all this stuff!

wages go to expenses, staking moneys go to toys(like that 500GB ssd :P)
