Not really. I mage the Enduring Glacyte, and have my Titan do the Sapping/Unstable. Having the Magic attack bonus is really quite nice, as Fire Surging that mafucka with a N1 mage attack, not sure about Virtus yet, is IMO Faster than Rapier since less dicking around with switches/etc.
Like, it's a hard call really. I prefer the magic gear over melee, but I've used both. I've used Ahrims, Akrisae, Void w/Deflector&Virtus top, and will be testing full virtus soon. Voidtus was my favorite so far, expecting Virtus to be a bit better because you can just afk w/infinite hp.
Torva would be acceptible if you were tanking, but I don't really see much tanking going on. My prayer switches are good enough to where I can do fine, not use brews with a titan, and barely even need the EE spec. Torva is like, fucking, Training Wheels.
NTM def bonuses, the Glacors magic is a way worse attack than the Range to get hit by, IMO more accurate & freezing makes you miss a cast. Definitely don't want that shit, with the Steel Titans 15% amplification, which actually does affect negatives.
