When calculating the odds of an independent event happening, you actually dont look at the previous events. the odds of winning the next (in this case stake) would be 50% regardless of how many youve won. but the odds of winning the next 4 would be 0,5x0,5x0,5x0,5 as glenn mentioned earlier. This also ignores the outcome of any previous events.

Isn’t it different than 50/50 btw due to the way pid, defect % for whip style and stuff just wondering?

Everybody keeps claiming that i thought i had a > 50% chance to win the next (5th) stake which i never thought and never said.
Anyhow im not here to flame anyone, imo this has been discussed way too much so just move on.



Maybe, but its easiest to assume both people use switch styles and in the grand scheme of things pid is also 50% in your favour

the difference is supposed to be very slim however, thats why its not really worth mentioning

I've seen a video on this and the guy came to the conclusion that always using flick is your best bet, it would give you a 51% chance of winning or something, assuming the opponent isnt also on flick the whole time. I dont know where this guy got his info from tho, it seemed genuine but wasnt really able to validate anything

Ah okay, thanks for answering, I’ve always wondered that, I just try not to look when I stake and I swap flick, lash, deflect each attack, keeps me thinking about something other than my gold. Or I put deflect and walk away

just do what feels natural my dude, not watching is probably the best since it'll do less to your heart rate and keep you healthy it all comes down to rng anyway and its really close to 50/50 whatever you do as long as you hit back (always have auto retaliate on is my tip)
