My friend loaned me their white phat (trade, not lend feature). You can't take pictures with lent items. I traded it back to them an hour later.

I've given multiple friends CS:GO knives valued between $80 and $650.
The person who I gave the $650 knife to always tried to give it back, I never accepted lul.

An old friend of mine in another mmo lent me their entire gear set that they spent $3000+ to obtain for an entire week for the new expansion.
I was the first person in my guild to reach the next level. I ended up in the hospital the next day and couldn't access my computer for a week.
Instead of worrying about his gear, him and the entire guild (which was only like a dozen people) worried that something bad happened to me.
When I returned, I told the story, and he said I could still use the gear for a couple more days (he was out for business), after which, I traded it back to him.
A couple others wanted me to trade the gear to them, but I refused, saying that I would only give it back to the guy who owns it.
It's not my place to lend someone else's items to another person, and if they choose to lend their items to them, they can do it their self.

I loaned another guy 7 bonds to buy something that was on a limited sale, and also gave him a Nox bow to use.
He returned the Nox bow, and refused to just keep it as a gift. He tried to pay me back for the bonds a few times, I told him to keep it.

I've loaned bonds to several clan mates on RS in general, for various reasons.
Once, a guy ran off with 1 bond. I laughed irl, because I then knew how little they're worth as an individual.
Of course, they got removed and banned from the clan after they ran away with it.

Whenever I give something to someone, it's because I can afford to lose it without having to worry whether or not I get it back.
I would never loan something out that I couldn't afford to lose / unable to replace.
More often than not, I let them keep whatever it was that I gave to them. Especially when they make an honest effort to get it back to me.
If you're willing to lend something of such value, that's your own choice and risk, I won't judge. Don't expect the same in return if I can't afford to do the same.
If I ever get loaned anything, I make sure to give it back when they want it back, assuming I'm able to do so.
I know how it feels to have someone run away with your shit, and I don't want to make others feel that way.
I've rebuilt my bank from scratch to billions multiple times already, and I enjoy doing that more than stockpiling billions with no use for it. It gets dull at that point.

Serious note; this is exactly how it should be.
