I'd suggest not using void until you get to 80 stats.
Other gear is just better stats wise until then.
Def useful at later stages of the game though.

Well you get no attack bonus from void. You get % damage and % attack bonus.

Void gives 0 attack bonus, but amplifies attack bonus by a %.
So If you have 200 attack bonus you're only getting +20 to give you an idea. You will not be anywhere near 200 ranged attack bonus with void though.
10% damage increase is 10% increase exp.

Dhide gives roughly 60-70 attack bonus but no damage bonus.
At the end of the day, low level it's better to have the accuracy bonus to hit more consistently, as 50 attack bonus will give you much more exp then a 10% exp bonus.

When you hit about 80, the damage is good enough to justify the accuracy. Especially when you get elite. (Or if you have another amplifier like DHCB/Slayer helm, it becomes a multiplier)


Decide if you're going to chin, slayer with cannon, or do something like afk sand crabs/caged orges.

I'd like to think I'd chin eventually but I still need to work on a lot of stuff.

Perhaps I got the pts "too early"?

Not at all, it doesnt really matter when you get them.
Its just one less grind you will have to do down the road.
