why do I feel like this is a scammed/locked multi that tries to act all new and friendly to go undercover ?

It doesn't matter 90% of the people on these forums are brain dead and will still let them on their account, they'll do a few legit jobs, and go scam someone just like every other multi because people would rather pay slave wages and risk a ban/hack than pay someone who's been around awhile a real price.
