The boxes reward rolls when you open it, not when you obtain it. It benefits to save the boxes and open them after you do some fishing, mining, etc.

yessir, for a while anyways, i'm aiming to get to bgloves as efficiently as possible (and that's exactly what his guide is for, great!), and then i'll break off and do my own thing from there. so, it'll be this for the next couple of weeks i'd imagine.
