Word is Airuts are impossible on Legacy

Can drop T90 melee power gloves/have bones that are 1.8x dragon bones


It's possible that the shit they do that makes them difficult on legacy may not be in the game because DS is strictly legacy-only, and only EoC abilities can break it.. Dunno though, guess we'll find out at some point

You can "safe" spot the melee, but the ranged ones will still wreak havoc on your life.

you have to kill them before they go range or you die

Bear in mind all monsters in DS just pile you, so in the Airut chamber you're tanking 10 at a time

oh then you are majorly fucked

with abilities, and all the best gear (with soulsplit and supreme ovls), u can only do 6-7 at a time

and even then, there are some points where they can combo ur life down rly quick

with polys being 2m
and u paying 75 for sol did u get royally fucked or is sol better cos of the rune save

Poly has 3000 charges then u have to repair it
Not sure how much that costs tho

SOL is still going for ~7-8M from what I can see.. Saving runes is nice and all, but the amount of casts you'd have to do to make up the difference realistically isn't going to happen anytime soon. The main upside of the SOL is the special, which reduces incoming melee damage by 50%.. Very very handy for PvP encounters, which are kind of always a threat on DS specifically.

Kinda comes down to like.. I offered 4M for a Polypore stick, didn't get it. Would have been paying in essence 5.5M for a Polypore staff then, so 7M for SoL was really no question. Going to be setting my goal for now at getting the Staff of Darkness which needs a SOL anyways, so it'll be kinda 10/10 to turn the one I used for all this bullshit into the other. But ofc, if SoLs don't go down, SoD won't really be usable. Maybe for like Nex, but I kinda doubt that's in my near future at all
