I'm not touching that shit. DS is everything the OSRS team could hope to make Deadman, and anything good that Deadman does put out will likely be adopted into DS.

DS is strictly legacy-only, they've confirmed that EoC will not be making it into the game. It's based on RS3, which means it has several years worth of content that OSRS doesn't, and it's RS3 without SoF/TH. The three big issues with RS3, - the reasons I don't play - are the overall economy (GP and XP) EoC and SoF/TH. None of those are issues in DS.. There's just no point.

As for selling it off and waiting for the next PoE league, if my group of shitter friends ever decide to actually play.. maybe.
