Catacombs drop rates of totems and shards are effected by the total hp of whatever youre killing, less hp = lower odds

Is nieve still better after the slayer cave nerf? And why?

I haven't heard of the slay cave nerf and i prefer nieve cause she gives better tasks then duradel

I found this out shortly after because I was curious on why I didn't have any. But you can't say it's not shit luck that I've done 4 Mutated Bloodveld, 5 Black Demon, 1 Aberrant Spectre and 1 Hellhound task all in Catacombs with no totem pieces. I've had a few shards bit that's it.. .

I really hope I get some soon.. I want my clue, Dark Claw and Pet!




While Duradel does give more slayer points, it's debated on the tasks themselves on which is best.

Duradel - 15 per task, 75 every 10th, 225 every 50th, 375 every 100th.
Nieve/ Steve - 12 per task, 60 every 10th, 180 every 50th, 300 every 100th.

But if you have the Elite Western Provinces diary complete, Nieve/ Steve will give the same as Duradel as part of the Diary rewards.


Basically, I'm going too use Nieve for all tasks other than my 10th, 50th, 100th ect. I'll use Duradel for those too maximize my points.
I'm also trying too save up 15M too buy an eternal slayer gem for when I unlock Ring Bling. I knows it's a lot for something I can just craft a bunch of but it would be so convienent too have only 1 ring and not need too worry about charges ect.

Right now I've just been slaying, on my Hellhound task I got 4 clues all of which were 100k or less. I'll post any levels or awesome drops ect. as they happen

I tried looking too see which update / need you were talking about, but they only changed some of the monster spawns and areas in the catacombs. If that's what you were referring too, if not can you tell me about the update please & thank you ?

I think that was the one, kinda eliminated the convenience of having the slayer master outside the cave with most of her tasks.

Nice progress btw, any zulrah kills yet? 15m wont seem like much after you start the snek dance

Yeah I understand that for sure, but I'll be honest I haven't been in Niece's cave since that update lol. I do most my tasks in Catacombs if possible too get totem pieces.

Also, I broke my dry streak 1K + slayer kills later
Have a base and middle at the moment.

I have not tried Zulrah yet, I'm just being a chicken lol.
But on a day off work I will sit down and learn for sure!

Nice i always feel like i shoulda went to catacombs rather then nieve cave but im being to lazy + its far away as fk.
