I'm struggling to understand... so you can't log in at all?
The way I see it, it's a win win:
-if you manage to get back in, good.
-if you lose your account, hopefully you learn something valuable. Write down all your passwords, security questions, pins etc on a notepad and make a backup of it (not upload it on google drive)
The big problem in europe here for me is phone number, there are websites where if you lose access to your phone number (for example sometimes for me from some websites, verification code sms won't get sent) that means I get perma locked out of my account. The more you live, the more you learn this and see how absolutely bad account recovery is in general.
Back in muh day all you needed was username, password and email for recovery. The whole mandatory phone thing has made things incredibly insecure, ironically, since there's no backup in case phone verification doesn't work. And everyone jumped on the bandwagon to use phone as means for security.
Phone authentification is good though. Until you lose your phone. Then... see above.
You don't realize how unsecure your account is until you need to recover it. Changing country, you often get these auto-account lock things "for security" that's how i lost my ebay account, they would simply refuse to help. And the germans refused to speak english... on ***..
I remember when I lost my runescape account because jagex gave it away. Some random guy sent them an email and said how he doesn't have access to the account or email, said some random town in my country (romania) and they gave it. I saw his credit card name that he used to purchase, something like "john" something... he didn't answer any secret questions either. They just gave away my account just like that.
Meanwhile I got back, answered the secret questions (back then we had several like 5-10, i wrote them down) and jagex refused to give me the account back.
Lesson learned... if only I had checked my email every day or at least every week, I would've seen the account recovery request.
Hopefully you learned something from this, like I did.
