I would just do nightmare zone with full dharok, use rock cake (gotta do a quest from recipe for disaster I believe to get it) to down hp down to 1 and just use rock cake anytime hp gets to 5 hp. bring a pair of dragon claws if you can afford them or dragon dagger p++ for when the power up surge appears, it's crazy experience. otherwise just afk the whole thing

Full dharok is just armour, right? Dclaws look like they're about 90 mil, so too rich for my blood. Dragon dagger p++ is super cheap. Like 20k? Are they at all close in power? Is there anything in the middle? I just googled the prices. I'm incredibly inexperienced. I've forgotten everything I learned when I used to play.

They are similar in power despite the price disparity. Just pick up a dragon dagger for 40k for now. Get a full dharok set including the axe as you’ll be hitting for massive damage (hitting 60+ dmg at 1hp) because of the set bonus

this. dragon claws are very expensive but dragon dagger will do. you don't even have to worry about a shield in nightmare zone when you switch to dragon dagger p++ because as soon as the surge is over (like 10 attacks or so) you can switch back to your dharok axe

Surge? Dharok axe? I'm deeply unfamiliar with most parts of the game. Most of what I know is f2p stuff, lol. I'll look into this stuff. I don't expect it to all be spoonfed to me. Runescape is a game that's 40% wiki.

Why the price disparity? Dclaws just bis and hard to come by? What's the difference? 5% dmg increase? 20%?

there are these little "power ups" that come up in the nightmare zone (if you die in the zone you don't loose anything so it's all good, you still get points) and you click on them... recurring damage adds extra damage everytime you hit a monster,
power surge allows you to unlimited special attacks with your weapon and the power/energy is still there so you can keep doing it. like with dragon claws the special attack is a 4 hit damage instead of the regular 1 hit damage
ultimate force destroys all monsters on the field BUT you don't get any points or drops from them
zapper adds random damage to all monsters regardless if you attack them or not

basically get 4 attack moments with dragon claw's special attack vs dragon dagger p++'s 2 attack moments.. but dragon claw's special attack uses 50% power vs dragon dagger p++ uses 25% power each time

I plan to be doing this mostly at work, afk for most of the time. No interaction except some sort of quick reset like reentering the nmz.

So I won't be using any special attacks if I have to click them myself. Would dds still be best?
