Not all bans are botting or even self inflicted. I had 2 rwt bans and an acc that caught a 2 week ban for using the cerb safespot on my iron.
Also have an acc that caught a 2 week ban while paying for a service on jsp.

Should be accepted after 5.5yrs. My old main account has survived 2 perm bans, the most recent time it was recovered with an appeal after 5.5yrs for 2 counts of major botting.

mine has 1 count of major botting, and it was 8ish years ago, still says appeal pending

how are you appealing it? I think you're doing it wrong. you don't want to appeal the offense, but appeal the whole account. It's just a single button you press to send it in, there is no comment/message that goes along with it. You'll only know if it's accepted or not when you get an email response.

also to add, when my account was unbanned, all offenses were completely erased from the account. So when I go into offense history, it's completely clean as If the account has never broken a rule before.

this is what happened to my acc as well, i got banned in beginning of when 07 came out for botting the fight caves lol. it should be easy to appeal

Damn. I got banned for botting 70 agility at the barb course. took like 2 weeks straight of doing it overnight. Beginning of 07 as well so no rooftop courses or anything.

Got to keep the exp though lol.

i tried looking up some ideas before i sent mine in as well, and it seems if you try to hard to be believeable, its pretty obvious, the whole giving it to ur kid thing, besides it being against the rules, is a bit too far anyways. ive gotten 2 unbanned, going for 3rd, just a simple, tried out the whole botting thing, obviously wasnt the right thing to do, youve been playing legit should have been all you needed..

i do keep seeing people post about a different way to appeal, id love to find out how, i have a very old account perm banned, but appeal was denied before a long time ago, but now they seem to be unbanning a lot of ppl, i want to try it again, but wont let me appeal again since its already been denied once

yeah i probably went too far lmao. does it reset after a while and then you get another chance to appeal or its done forever? i have my pure that i enjoy right now, but wouldve been cool if that appeal worked, so many memories on there, plus tons of stuff
