i wonder what helped more 8 defence levels or 5 mage levels

I’d say learning the mechanics and playing better probably helped the most especially since you just got the perfect hunllef challenge

i went into cg with 3 normal kills

Wasn’t flaming you at all. Took me a long time to get cg down. Was just saying that you learned the mechanics and that helped a lot more than some mage or def levels.

my issue was running out of supplies even tho i wasnt taking nado floor or stomp damage mechanics weren't really the bottleneck

I remember watching a guide that said you should dps until you're like 30-40 HP and you can really see how much of a difference it is in kill speed. I got lazy mid grind and would just eat to max a lot cause I'd get bored and take 50 hits and my kills would be slow AF
