i messed around with the osrs dps calc and this is what i got with results for 80 vs 99 def, cg hunlief vs t1 armor


tbh it might not be 100% accurate but i dont rly see the def making a HUGE difference

messing with the numbers more it might be ~6% hit chance difference actually, tho like i said im just punching in numbers for a pvp scenario and idk if its calc'd different vs monsters. it also makes sense why even tho that looks like a small difference, in a 4 minute fight you'd see why you might be way more likely to run outa food if the monster is doing 0.5 more dps to you

Are your other combat stats low too? Maybe ur not dpsing enough. Even with max stats it will hit you in t1 armor so if the kills slow ur gunna die.

Are you losing tics on attacks? That's probably one of the biggest issues your having. Idk what your atk str mage and range are but my guess is losing tics.

Make t2 armor for now till you become fluid and start having like 12+ food left them you can. Try t1 armor

As far as your defense questions. Hufflepuffle has extremely high accuracy it almost always hits me on 90+ def so I don't see that being the major issue... the t2 armor will reduce its max hits so this will help you till your skull level progresses at the fight. I learned this with like 95mage 88 range 85ish def on my gim it's what I had to do till I stopped losing attack tics on low hp when it speeds up floor tiles
