Can't use the GPU option and HD client at the same time, so that's a no go for me unfortunately.

Turns out runelite was already installed on my SSD

All my other games are installed on my HDD and some of them still make that noise too, so I don't think it's either of those. The noise was never really a problem, though. Just something that it's done but never caused or been paired with any issues.

Sounds like your hard drive could be crapping out early unless its normal sounds. My motherboard died last year and all I heard was the fan zip up and a pop.
What about the ram situation, you got 16gb or did best buy do you dirty and only put in 1 stick of 8?

I have 16gb and both sticks are fine.

Pretty much every setting in the GPU plugin is in the 117 plugin. Unlock FPS is one of those options.

and it's already been unlocked so there is nothing for me to do there. the only way ive been able to solve the problem is just not play with 2 HD clients anymore. Which makes no sense when I was able to before just fine.
